Well, I just fulfilled one of my childhood dreams (no I didn’t ride a bull). I would have to say that it was one of the more foolish things I have wanted in my life. Generally you could say that I hardly ever entertained the idea because under normal circumstances it would be an expensive waste.

I am talking my friends about leather pants. Yes I got some. No I didn’t buy them new. Yes they came from a thrift store. Yes they are REAL leather. Only three dollars. Yes, I wore them in public tonight when I took Jenny out to dinner. And yes, I asked her first.

I actually found them looking for a pair of polyester slacks and I couldn’t pass them up. I figured I could sell them if I had to, the return would be good.

Well, have at it : )

NO TO THE KKK AND PROP 2!
Stop the Klan! Vote against hate.Click above to: Get a mail ballot! (Deadline 5pm Nov 1) Find out where to vote! Protect the Texas Bill of Rights!”

So apperently the KKK is holding a rally in favor of Proposition 2 (declaring formally that marriage is between a man and a woman only) in Austin. Since their associations are so vile it only takes liberals a small hop to jump to the conclusion that if you are a reasonable individual then you can’t share views with the KKK. I think it is regrettable, honestly, because I do support proposition 2 despite the fact that the KKK supports it.

I found this ad on Facebook of all places, I reported it before I realized that the KKK is actually involved. oops, well I guess I wouldn’t mind if they did remove it.

Well what do you know, I am actually blogging again.

Actually I have been really busy the last couple of weeks and will continue to be so up to the end of the semester. I am as worn out as I ever have been. The Reformation party will not come too soon.

When I am this worn out, I always end up remembering the IIIrd Tyme Out songs “I Pray My Way Out of Trouble” and “I Feel Closer to Heaven” they both remind me that no matter what my earthly troubles I have a Father in Heaven who listens when I pray and that makes me thankful even more for his great gift of the Son. Those things keep my mind off of feeling sorry for myself.

Here is a quick post from home — (I may talk about home later)…

Yesterday I recieved a very interesting e-mail with a linguistic test to check your Dixieness/Yankeeness — It was pretty cool.

My score was

“83% (Dixie). Do you still use Confederate money?”

You can take the test here

Good Luck!

Oh, by the way, if I had any Confederate money it would probably be in a frame on my wall.

Thought For The Week

I want to clarify that there is no political problem that is not really a heart problem with hearts not connected to Christ. Only one Kingdom is really important, and this isn't it. But just as it's sad to see poorly coded software, a badly built building, or an ugly city, it's even more sad to see a nation being thrown away. As custodians of this earth, we should do better. -Mark Ritchie
