While I go back and forth between believing that the end is near (God's definition of the end, that is), and believing that this is only the beginning of history, what is for sure is that the current circumstances will soon be over, along with the currently rich and powerful that seem to drive events. This came home to me one time when I was listening to an old sermon tape, and Dr S Lewis Johnson was saying that even "Kruschev and Johnson" were subject to God's sovereign rulership. By the time I heard the tape, those two powerful rulers were not only powerless, they were dead. Yet the gospel remains powerful and relevant. Amen to all of that.
